YOUTH MINISTRY
MIRIAN DAYS, July 2026
This last weekend, we had over 30 teens from our Youth Ministry attend the Marian Days at Christ Cathedral. Our ministry was asked to help with the hospitality team for Saturday morning of the Youth and Young Adult track where they greeted participants and helped with a Matcha stand.

.Marian Days is really fun and they love the talks from the guest speakers.

.Being asked to help with matcha was really fun and we were able to meet new people and invite them to St. Barbara for Youth Ministry!
The Evangelion Youth Ministry
June 2026
1)JUNE 7-10, 2026 : With Father Tuan's sponsorship and the support of Deacon Hao & Deacon Phuc, we were able to send some of our leaders to the Catholic Youth Ministry Convention with Life Teen for training.
2)JUNE 12, 2026: Our very own Seminarian from St. Barbara,Thomas Nguyen, played in the Seminarian and Priest Basketball game. Our youth ministry came out to support. The Diocese provided our ministry with free tickets because of how active we are!
3)JUNE 15, 2026: We had a young adult bonfire for fellowship and welcoming our new young adults.
4)JUNE 23, 2026: We have been hosting two Adorations a month during the summer. Each one with over 100 teens in attendance. There are always teens from at least 5 other parishes in attendance
5)JUNE 28, 2026: We took our incoming college seniors to the Newman Center down in UCSD.
MATCHA & MINISTRY - May 2026
This Memorial Day weekend, St. Barbara Youth Ministry hosted its third “Matcha & Ministry” gathering for high school girls, with college-aged women serving as mentors.
Over 100 girls from 11 different parishes across Orange County attended,
including St. Barbara, La Purisima, Our Lady of La Vang, Holy Spirit, Blessed Sacrament, St. Polycarp, St. Justin Martyr, St. Columban, St. Boniface, St. Bonaventure, and Christ Cathedral.
“Matcha & Ministry” is a girls-only fellowship event centered on authentic friendship, feminine virtue, and Catholic moral teaching.
This gathering focused on gossip and the importance of charity and authenticity in relationships and conversations.

Youth Leader Summit - 3/21/2026
Last Saturday (3/21/2026), 6 of our Catechists and 12 of our teens attended Live Action's Young Leader Summit where we learned how to defend the right to file and better understand Catholic teachings.
The event we attended had many leaders and experts on this topic including:
Lila Rose, Jason Evert, Dr. William Lile, Fr. Mark-Mary Ames and Emily Wilson.
