MATCHA & MINISTRY - May 2026
This Memorial Day weekend, St. Barbara Youth Ministry hosted its third “Matcha & Ministry” gathering for high school girls, with college-aged women serving as mentors.
Over 100 girls from 11 different parishes across Orange County attended,
including St. Barbara, La Purisima, Our Lady of La Vang, Holy Spirit, Blessed Sacrament, St. Polycarp, St. Justin Martyr, St. Columban, St. Boniface, St. Bonaventure, and Christ Cathedral.
“Matcha & Ministry” is a girls-only fellowship event centered on authentic friendship, feminine virtue, and Catholic moral teaching.
This gathering focused on gossip and the importance of charity and authenticity in relationships and conversations.

Youth Leader Summit - 3/21/2026
Last Saturday (3/21/2026), 6 of our Catechists and 12 of our teens attended Live Action's Young Leader Summit where we learned how to defend the right to file and better understand Catholic teachings.
The event we attended had many leaders and experts on this topic including:
Lila Rose, Jason Evert, Dr. William Lile, Fr. Mark-Mary Ames and Emily Wilson.
